Polycarbonate (Lexan® & Makrolon®)
Polycarbonate, commonly known as Lexan®, is a tough transparent material typically used in applications that require higher impact resistance than acrylic and tempered glass. Polycarbonate sheet are virtually unbreakable with 250 times the impact strength of glass and 30 times that of acrylic.
Typical applications include architectural, correctional, POP/Display, sign and industrial safety applications.
Capabilities
- Sheet thicknesses: 0.060" to 0.500"
- Sheet sizes: 4' x 8' (stock), 4' x 10', 5' x 8', 5' x 10', 6' x 8' and 6' x 10'
- Grades: Abrasion resistant, UV-stabilized, FDA compliant, flame inhibiting, machine grade and optical grade
- Colors: Clear, gray and bronze
- Rod, tube and film are also available

Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE)
UHMW is often referred to as the world's toughest polymer. UHMW is a linear high density polyethylene which has high abrasion resistance as well as high impact strength. UHMW is also chemically resistant and has a low coefficient of friction which makes it highly effective in a variety of applications. UHMW can be crosslinked, reprocessed, color-matched and is easily machined.
Typical applications include bumpers, dock fenders, wear strips, bearings, bushings, rollers, sprockets, guide rails, star wheels, conveyor tracks and chute, hopper and truck bed liners.
Capabilities
- Sheet thicknesses: 0.125" to 8"
- Sheet sizes: 4' x 8', 4' x 10' (stock), 5' x 10', 4' x 12' and 5' x 12'
- Film sizes: 0.003" to 0.25" in widths from 0.25" to 24"
- Rod: 0.25" to 10" diameter
- Coil: 0.25" x 1.5" through 0.5" x 4" in 250' rolls
- Grades: Natural, reprocessed, UV-stabilized, cross-linked, silicone-filled, glass-filled, FDA approved and fire retardant
- Colors: White (natural), black (reprocessed) and custom color matching

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
HDPE is a versatile and durable material that is used in a myriad of applications. It is impact resistant and has a low coefficient of friction. It is moisture, stain and odor resistant as well as impervious to many chemicals. It is a lightweight and economical alternative to other plastic products. HDPE is readily fabricated using standard woodworking tools.
Typical applications include cutting boards, tanks, liners, playground structures, bathroom partitions, manhole covers, signs, pipe and plastic sheeting.
Capabilities
- Sheet thicknesses: 0.125" through 4"
- Sheet sizes: 4' x 8' (stock), 54" x 96" (marine board), 4' x 10', 55" x 120" (partition board) and 5' x 10'
- Grades: Natural, UV-stabilized, co-extruded, textured and FDA approved
- Colors: White (natural), black and custom color matching
- Film and pipe are also available

Acetal (Delrin®)
Acetal is a highly crystalline thermoplastic with good strength and stiffness, as well as good sliding properties and good wear resistance combined with low moisture absorption. Acetal is dimensionally stable and fatigue resistant and therefor ideal for precision parts. Acetal copolymer is more resistant against hydrolysis, strong alkalis and thermal-oxitive degradation than the acetal homopolymer.
Typical applications include gears, cams, bushings, handles, valves, fittings, impellers, shower heads, toys, zippers and conveyor links.
Capabilities
- Sheet thicknesses: 0.25" to 4" thick
- Sheet sizes: 2' x 4', 4' x 8' and 4' x 10'
- Rod: .1875" to 9" OD in lengths up to 120"
- Grades: Homopolymer, copolymer, glass fiber-reinforced, static dissipative and PTFE filled
- Colors: Natural (white) and black
